Beyond
Care® Weight Balance
This medically
supervised weight loss program is designed for people with: Metabolic Syndrome,
Obesity, Diabetes due to excess body fat, Menopause related abdominal fat gain,
and Post gastric-bypass surgery rehabilitation
This program takes 6 months
and includes:
1-Medical evaluations: physical exam and health data collection
: 3 visits minimum. More medical visits may be required. Medical visits are billed
to insurance if participating. Co-pays are due at visit time and cannot be included
in the cost of the program.
2-Nutrition consults including specific
diets, meal planning, recipes, education and monitoring: The first visit is 60
minutes and follow-up visits are 15 minutes.
3-Behavior modification:
healthy habit reinforcement and stress management: Initial 1- hour visits followed
by six monthly 30-minute visits.
4- Total body composition scan by DXA and
basal metabolic rate measurement
5- Customized fitness training, fat
burning, core balance and conditioning exercises or 1-1 yoga: 10 weekly fitness
sessions are included. Fitness sessions are interchangeable with Pilates and Yoga
if approved by your physician.
6- Also included: workshops and email
access to clinicians free of charge for members.
Medically
supervised weight loss is covered by most flexible spending accounts and may be
considered tax deductible as a medical expense. Please ask about insurance coverage
from your insurance carrier and if applicable from your employers' benefits officer.

Fitness Training
This

Care® LESS Program
Learn
Effective Stress Solutions is an in-depth and comprehensive
12-week nutritional and fitness program aimed at lifestyle related stressors-
both physical and mental.
Through an initial evaluation, medical and psychological
causes of metabolic and other stress along with consequences of maladaptive lifestyles
are identified and addressed.
The program focuses on behavior modification
and cognitive psychology with a great emphasis on mind-body sessions such as yoga
to initiate and maintain an internal sense of focus and strength.
Fitness
training focused on core strength, conditioning, relaxation and breathing exercises
combine with health enhancing nutritional support oriented towards increasing
stamina, improved sleep and productivity.
This program takes 12 weeks and
includes:
1- Behavioral Health: healthy habit reinforcement and stress
management: initial 1-hour and five 30-minute follow-up sessions.
2- Nutritional
Medicine visits: two 30-minute visits.
3- One-on-one customized yoga
sessions: 4 weekly one-hour sessions.
4- One-on-one customized exercise
training sessions: 4 one-hour sessions.
5- Body Composition measurement
by DXA and basal metabolic rate measurement.
6- Medical Visit: 1
thirty minute visit at the conclusion of the program.
7- Massage therapy:
2 one-hour therapeutic massages for balance and relaxation..

Beyond
Care ® Ramp-Up Program
Designed
for Real Active Metabolic People interested in an in-depth nutritional and fitness
program, which tactfully addresses their health goals - both physical and mental
- and helps them gain skills to effectively manage all lifestyle related stressors.
Through an initial evaluation, medical and
psychological causes of metabolic and other stress along with consequences of
maladaptive lifestyles are identified and addressed.
The
program focuses on behavior modification and performance psychology with a great
emphasis on one-on-one sessions to initiate and maintain an internal sense of
focus and strength.
Healthy eating habits
oriented towards increasing stamina and strength as well as fitness training focused
on core strength, low impact fat burning routines and resistance training are
other key features of this 12-week program. By raising the metabolic rate participants
lose fat and gain muscle mass.
This program takes 12 weeks and includes:

Nutritional Medicine visits: initial 1-hour; 5 fifteen minute follow-up sessions.
