Simulation Coaching for Obesity & Diabetes

Just Released in March 2021: Dr. Yavari offers a fresh review of obesity and diabetes and describes here the methodology used in his digital therapeutic Beyond Weight. Download or buy paperback on Amazon.

People who lose weight, gain it back unless they are forever diligent and always prepared. Simulation Coaching uses examples of unexpected life events that often cause relapse in the form of quizzes. These quizzes or vignettes called lifejigs®️ , prepare and ready participants for adversity and setbacks. By engaging in counter-factual or conditional thinking users self-teach skills needed when facing negative circumstances. This way the “what if” or “if only” outcomes prepare users for a variety of situations that could result in relapse. In his book, Dr. Yavari places Simulation Coaching in the general context of coaching for therapeutic lifestyle change.
